Actual Feedback on This Book:

Gloria B. from Chicago writes:

"I have eczema, and this is the best book to come along on the subject!

I have gone from relapses to remissions and back countless times. I was working harder and harder to keep my skin under control. What I wasn't doing was working smarter. That's because I didn't know, and no one told me, that the more you know about eczema, the better your skin does.

I used to visit the doctor each time my skin acted up, and get a prescription, only to return a few months later. My doctor didn't have time to teach me. In this book, I not only learned about the science (without the hype) surrounding eczema, I learned practical day-to-day tips on keeping me and my home healthy. From daily skin care, to managing flares, to preventing flares and dealing with insurance companies. From what cosmetics and creams to use, and what to throw away (and I've thrown a lot away). From what works, and what doesn't to the latest research, this book covers a broad spectrum. The only change I would recommend for future editions is more illustrations of the rash.

This book has more useful information in it than all the visits I've made to the dermatologist combined! At less than the cost of a co-pay, it's definitely worth it! I use it as a reference that I go back to again and again. I am asking my library to stock it, and I'm recommending it to everyone I know who has eczema! "
